WHAT WE DO

What do we do as part of Team 2286 Air Cadets? It might be quicker to say what we don't do. For an overall taster, have a look at our Squadron video below, or if you're interested in a specific adventure, click the topic in the grid.

Whatever you're passionate about doing,
you can do it with Team 2286.

Don't worry about being thrown in at the deep end - you'll join Team 2286 as a new recruit when you get to know the other cadets in your intake and start basic training. You'll then be gradually introduced to activities as you progress, so you can make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.

Oh, The Places You'll Go...

Cadet life is all about learning through practical experience, especially in the great outdoors.

You'll get to experience:

Camping & Expeditions - Work on your survival skills and learn your strengths as a team.

Training Camps - Develop your skills with camps designed to help you advance in specific disciplines - cadetmanship, music, leadership, military disciplines and many more.

Annual Camps - Once you pass out of basic training, you'll be able to take part in these popular camps, held at active RAF stations around the UK.

Overseas Camps - Spend time in Cyprus, Germany or on the high seas with the Corps sailing expeditions. Who knows, you might even be selected to be part of the International Air Cadet Exchange programme and visit Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada and many more!

Adventurous Training - Foster your spirit of adventure at adventurous training camps held at our centres in the Lake District and Snowdonia and local taster days. Rock climbing, abseiling, mountaineering, mountain biking, canoeing and sailing are all par for the course.
