The month started with the Wing Athletics competition. Twelve cadets travelled to Sutton Coldfield to take part in a keenly competitive inter Squadron competition. The day went really well with a number of our cadets winning medals, two Gold, two Silver and two Bronze. Well done to those who won medals and thank you and well done to all those who competed. Our thanks to Cpl Ryan who managed the team and Fg Off Sheikh who sorted the event for us.
The beginning of the month saw two of our cadets and one ex cadet (who left to join the RAF) travel to Buckingham Palace for their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award presentation. Our congratulations to FS O'Connell, Sgt Dhayaparan and Reece Stone on an achievement that took a great deal of effort and determination.
It was quite a royal month for us, with Cpls Foster, French, Myles and Ryan travelling to London to watch the Trooping of the Colour. They all came back buzzing, having been waved at by the King. It was a wonderful and exciting opportunity for them, although it did mean having to get out of bed at 2am.
