July saw the start of camp season and we had cadets and staff at camp at Boscombe Down, Leeming and RIAT. Cadets got to fly, visit museums, do archery and have a police section visit. They all seemed to enjoy themselves.
The month also saw our annual RIAT trip. What can I say? They saw lots of aeroplanes and I am told the Saudi display was the best for most of them. This year the weather was lovely so all in all a good day out, although they dont look like they got a lot of pictures of the planes. I've only put one picture in so watch out for the full report.
The month also saw some of the cadets go short range shooting and 3 cadets to flying at RAF Cosford. We also had a Bronze Cyber course.
The month finished with a visit from the Wales and West Regional Commandant, Group Captain Simon. He got to talk to staff and cadets and to look round the activities for the night, which included radio, the stem project build, leadership and ranks and badges. It continued with a question and answer session before Group Captain Simon presented some badges on final parade.
